Offically, I am not goofing off and blogging at work - I need to post this image on the Sue Grafton Website as I am trying to sell the return trip for her westbound book signing tour and I need an http image. Details on the trip are below if anyone is interested....Oh yeah...and I said I would post everyday and I didnt yesterday. But guess what I did? Locked my keys in my car AGAIN....with the car running....AGAIN....Let me tell you what a pleasure it was for my husband to get that call at 1230 to leave work and come over to Blue Ash to let his wife back into her running car in the subway parking lot. Ugh. Im such an idiot.
Sue Grafton, her husband, and two other couples will be traveling the Empire Builder on the Vista Dome en route to Seattle for one-day book signing stops in Chicago and in Whitefish, MT. We will be selling the return trip departing Seattle Saturday, December 22nd. It is your choice to terminate in Chicago on the afternoon on December 24th, or continue on to Cincinnati, Departing on Tuesday (Christmas day) and arriving in Cincinnati the morning of the 26th. Prices include your bedroom on the railcar, private chef service and attendant at all times, all snacks, drinks (alcohol included) and all service, and Amtrak mileage fees.
To lease the entire car for this four day, four night excursion will be $15,000.00. If you are interested in just reserving one, double bedroom for a lower price: ($6000.00 – MASTER, $4500.00 for each DOUBLE).
Riders returning from Seattle will also find a signed "gift" from Sue in each room, and an opportunity to meet her in Seattle if the schedules work out.
Please contact Melissa at 513-791-RAIL to be placed on a list. If three double bedrooms book before the entire car, we will go that route. This opportunity won't last long! We adopted Bailey from the pound - can you believe that no one wanted a handsome pup like him? Anyway, I locked him in the car along with my keys while still in the parking lot of the SPCA. I had to go inside and tell them that I locked the dog they just let me take home in the hot car. They had to call a locksmith to come and pop the lock on my car. -- Misti
